There are rules to everything in life, and that includes swap - here is the skinny about Swap..
Keeping it clean
Oh the age of the super bug… what a world we live in with HN51, SARS, MRSA and all the rest. We aren’t saying that you are in line to catch a deadly disease. However, a little cleanliness will go a long with your fellow swappers…To make sure that we aren’t heaving with more bacteria than a Petri dish in a government testing lab; please keep the following in mind:
B.O is a no-no
Wash it, lord please wash it! Clothes, we mean the clothes...
Wipe it (Fingerprints not included)
Wipe your fingerprints off of DVD’s and CD’s.
No dirty baggies...
In other words no underwear, clean or otherwise
Mark them up
Labels get your labels - you can download stickers here and mark up you items for swap - or just wait and get your stickers on the door....
Speed swap
Send us a picture and description of the item that you want to swap, and what you would like in exchange. We will then advertise your swap for you via our email newsletter and our blog; and then match you up with appropriate swappers. You can then exchange the item at our Swap event, Just send your details through to speedswap@ilikeswaps.com or use our online form and we will sort out the rest for you. ‘Why can’t we swap online?’ you ask... well, you can meet your fellow swappers, you might see more at the event that you want to swap... and why not swap, have a drink, have a laugh. Personal interaction is great we have to draw a line somewhere on all this online malarkey.
Remix
Machines are on a first come first serve basis. But you are allowed a maximum of 2 hours on a machine. Just let a member of the remix team know that you want to get crafty with the sewing machine and they will put you on the list. If you have patterns sewing implements and like… feel free to bring them along with you and we will help you create something fabulous darling!
Let’s rip
What a complete rip off... copy your cd’s and dump them at swap. Let go of the analogue and lets get digital. Power points at the ready for you to rip your cd’s and go.
